The Silk Road stands as one of the most significant trade routes, linking the Far East with the Western world. Extending from Japan to Western Europe, it also represents a key pathway for cultural exchanges in history and has become a focus of numerous academic investigations. This collection of studies delves into the textiles associated with the Silk Road.Within the fourth volume of "The Artistic Traditions of Non-European Cultures," fifteen insightful articles are showcased. These contributions originated from the international conference "Textiles of the Silk Road. Design and Decorative Techniques: From Far East to Europe," orchestrated by the Krakow Branch of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies alongside the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.
